OPEN MORNING

We’re excited to share that our setting is taking part in the My Nature Play programme by Learning through Landscapes
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be developing our outdoor spaces and building our confidence in providing high-quality, nature-based play every day. From muddy adventures to imaginative exploration, we’re embracing all things outdoors

Nature play supports children’s confidence, creativity and wellbeing, and we’re already seeing the positive impact on our children
We can’t wait to share our journey as we grow, explore and learn together!
Today our little explorers have explored how shadows are made & noticed how the sun helps to create them. The children have loved watching their shadows stretch, shrink & dance as they move around.

Bollington Pre‑School is beginning an exciting project to transform our outdoor area into a greener, more sustainable, and wildlife‑friendly space. To bring this vision to life, we would be incredibly grateful for any kind donations that could support the project. Items that would be especially helpful include:- Bags of bark or woodchip- Compost or soil- Seeds- Flowers and plants- Sensory plants such as herbs, grasses, and colourful bloomsEvery contribution, big or small, helps us create a beautiful, nurturing environment for our children to explore, learn, and connect with nature. If you’re able to donate, please speak to a member of the team. Thank you for your kindness and support as we grow something wonderful together.

During our inset day today staff have been setting up different areas for the children to explore when they return in January
Merry Christmas, see you on Tuesday 6th January
On Friday our Pre-School children visited the Cenotaph to lay their own poppy wreaths, look at the poppy bench and soldier’s boots & hats.
The children asked lots of questions and they discussed what would happen at Sunday’s Remembrance Parade.
The children listened well and were very respectful.

Our children had a great time last week at Pre-School celebrating VE Day!
The week started off with our children making their own bunting flags
Later in the week we had a tea party. The children made their own sandwiches & cakes and even poured themselves a nice cup of tea in the water play area.
