Trustees play an important and crucial role in the existence of a charity, but the position carries a number of responsibilities and can sometimes be daunting for a volunteer to take on.
New trustees should be made to feel like part of the charity; and providing a proper induction will ensure that they are given a clear understanding of the structure of the provision and how it operates, as well as their role and responsibilities within it.
